• Panel IDs from CloudResearch Connect are maintained for compensation purposes only but are not associated with any PII

Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored on university secure servers and CloudResearch secure servers
• Utilizes industry-standard encryption for data both in transit and at rest
• Only authorized researchers have access to participant responses
• Participant data can be deleted upon study completion or by request

The following language is recommended for consent forms when using Engage:

“This study uses CloudResearch’s Engage, an AI-powered conversational survey platform. You will interact with an AI interviewer that will ask you questions about <your research topic>. Your responses will be analyzed both by the research team and by artificial intelligence tools to identify themes and patterns. No personally identifiable information will be collected through this platform.”
