We are thrilled to announce the 2022 $10K CloudResearch Grant Program. For the second year in a row, we will be giving away four awards of up to $2,500 each in CloudResearch credit (to cover participant payment and fees). Credit can be used for studies on CloudResearch’s new platform, Connect1. Designed with researchers and participants in mind, Connect is an easy-to-use crowdsourcing platform that delivers data quality you can trust. Currently in beta, we expect to fully launch in the upcoming weeks.

Submissions are currently closed.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Our grants are open to all! We would love to hear from innovative researchers in any field of academia or industry, and at any stage of their career.

What Does the Application Look Like?

The application consists of a short form with the following questions (up to 300 words each, using fewer words will not count against you!):

  1. What is the theoretical rationale for your study?
  2. Who will your participants be?
  3. What are the materials and procedure for your study?
  4. How will you analyze your data?
  5. In what ways is your study innovative?
  6. In what ways can your findings be impactful?
  7. How much does your study cost? (Feel free to inquire with us if you need help determining costs)

You will also be asked to provide a brief statement detailing your experience doing research. Grant recipients will be invited to present their projects at CloudResearch’s Innovations in Online Research Conference to be held September 23, 2022.

How Will the Recipients Be Selected?

An internal committee of researchers at CloudResearch will review the applications. The committee will consider all materials, but will place a particular emphasis on two factors: how innovative the study is, and its potential impact.

When Is the Deadline to Apply?

Please submit your application by July 31st, 2022, at 11:59 PM EST.

When Will the Recipients Be Announced?

Recipients will be notified no later than August 15th, 2022.

Questions?

If you have any questions, please send them along to Rachel.Hartman@CloudResearch.com.

1If you believe the design of your study would not be feasible to complete on the Connect platform, you may still submit a proposal and specify whether you think it would be more feasible on Prime Panels and/or the MTurk Toolkit.
